No Second Chances
In the wake of the Great Shift, Chris begged his coach to keep him on the team. He was sure his skills had transfered to his new body, and if they didn't he was sure he could get them up to par in no time. The coach had little choice. Many of his team had voluntarily left, and legally he couldn't just drop someone without giving them a chance. Of course, Chris's new body wasn't nearly as athletic as his old one. In fact, there was no way he'd be able to keep up, and the coach was able to tell from Chris's first pitch. It was terrible. He may have given him a chance, but there wasn't going to be a second one.
