Hold Your Tongue
Wyatt did his best to bite his lip and hold his tongue as Mia told him the news. She couldn't swap their bodies back to normal, not yet. The machine she had invented needed to recharge, and it wouldn't be working for the next 24 hours. Wyatt wasn't sure if she was lying, but he figured it best not to anger Mia. She had used that weird machine to switch their bodies in the first place, and if he didn't cooperate, she might find another excuse to keep them stuck like this longer. And, of course, if he ended up stuck in this body over the weekend, he'd miss the big game and let the entire college down. He was the best linebacker stuck in the body of a small Asian woman. And Mia had plenty of reasons to want to take his body for good; he could only hope this was only temporary as she promised.

Wink
"Hey, Amber, it's me Kelly. Ready for the kickball game tomorrow?"
Amber looked confused, "Yeah, of course, but what's with the winking?"
Kelly pulled Amber aside and whispered into her ear, "Because I'm not actually Kelly. I'm actually your boyfriend, Chuck. I used a device to swap bodies with Kelly for the weekend. I know how you've been complaining about how she's the weak spot on your team. With me in her place you actually stand a chance of winning this weekend."
Amber was a little dumbfounded, "I appreciate it, but swapping bodies with someone seems a little...extreme. And how in the world did you even find a device that can swap people's bodies?"

Successful
Oscar couldn't believe his invention had actually worked! He now had a device that could actually swap people's bodies. Well, at least he did. The device seemed to be smoking a little; it was probably more than a little fried. He needed to examine it. Emily handed him his glasses, and he promptly put them on. The device had not only swapped his brain and hers, but many of the nerves as well, including those in the ocular region. He was also a bit surprised that Emily had volunteered to test the device with him. He didn't like stereotyping people, but she seemed like one of those "bad girls," a thought reinforced when he noticed her light a cigarette and take a drag with his body. Still, regardless of circumstances, he wasn't going to look down on a successful test. But judging from the extent of the damage he now was able to see with the device, it was going to be a long time before they could swap back. Being stuck in Emily's body for so long concerned him, but not as much as what it meant for her to be stuck in his for that same amount of time...

Testing
Achieving success with their body swapping machine was a breakthrough, but neither Dr. Julien Park nor Dr. Amanda Lee expected to be the ones swapped by their own invention. It was an accident while testing that caused it, an accident that also caused great damage to the machine. Both Julien and Amanda worked hard to fix it, but it was Amanda who had to deliver the bad news to Julien. She had made the final adjustments to fix the device. It would work again, but there was a problem. All of the animals she had tested on swapped fine, but the swap back kept killing them. She was afraid that a second swap was just too much for a brain to handle. Julien couldn't help himself as a tear streamed down his face as she told him the news. They'd be stuck in each other's bodies for the rest of their lives.

The Device
When Alexa was handed the small device in the mall, she was taken off guard. She saw the small thing in her hand before hearing a voice whisper, "You can use this to swap bodies with anyone." She looked around, but couldn't find who spoke the words and gave her this thing. It seemed sort of unbelievable. The small white device had a single button. Not taking this all too seriously, Alexa pressed it. Alexa was a little surprised to see that her hands holding the device had changed. They were larger and more masculine. She had, in fact, swapped bodies with someone. She looked up to see her own body right in front of her. The man now inside her body was understandably freaking out. She tried to approach him, to tell him that he could fix this. The man now in her body didn't want to hear any of it. He was terrified to be in someone else's body and was even more freaked out when he saw his own body approaching. Instead of listening, he just walked away, as fast as he could with Alexa's heeled boots now on his feet. Alexa didn't want to risk pressing the button again, potentially hitting someone else with this device, and screwing things up even more, so she went after her body. However, it wasn't long before she was lost in the crowd, leaving Alexa and the man she swapped with stuck.
